I am very thankful our baby John Victor is so calm. He got two new teeth this week (just prior to turning 4 months) and he barely complains about them. He is just so calm. Maybe it was the homebirth... Anyway, I am very thankful he is so calm.

Our oldest child Matthew is at his Dad's house in Washington state and we miss him. I am very thankful he has had a safe and fun trip. I am also very thankful that he will be coming back Sunday! It will be good to have him back in the house. We all miss him very much. I am very thankful Matthew is coming back soon.

We have an awful nasty thunderstorm coming in right now. Looking at satellite footage it looks like it may be the top part of Hurricane Emily. I am very thankful we didn't get a direct hit from Hurricane Emily.

I am thankful for the backyardigans. My wife just called me and I heard tons of laughing in the background. It turns out my kids were watching a brand new episode of the backyardigans, where they are superheros. The backyardigans shows are pretty fun to watch (don't tell anyone I said that). It's a very creative show on Nick Jr. and I am very thankful for the backyardigans.
