Thankful for Swimming Pools

My kids are taking swimming lessons and it reminds me of how thankful I am for swimming pools.

I had a swimming pool in our backyard when I was growing up. It was very nice. Sure, just about everyone in Florida has a swimming pool, but still it was very nice to have a swimming pool growing up and I am really thankful for swimming pools.

Can't wait for their swimming lessons tomorrow!

Thankful for the NBA Playoffs

Thankful Hannah is 6

Yesterday was Hannah's birthday. She turned 6. I am very thankful Hannah turned 6 and that she had such a fun birthday party. Her cousins Danielle and Elizabeth slept over with her Grammie (Jill's mom).

It was really fun for them and I am thankful Hannah had a happy 6 year old birthday.

Ii am thankful for Donald Trump's tv show the Apprentice. Not only is it fun to watch, but I learn something from it every week. Albeit, quite a few weeks the reason people go home is because they bring the wrong people into the boardroom.

I am very thankful that I have high speed internet access to our house. I remember way back when we used to use a modem. Oh my goodness, is high speed internet access so much better than dial-up.

I am especially thankful I didn't have to go through this to get high speed internet access.

Even though my alma matta (Florida State) got snubbed, I am still thankful for the NCAA tournament. It makes for some exciting basketball and is a lot of fun to watch.

I am thankful to be alive. I have a doctors appoitment with my endocrinologist today, so before I get my blood work results I just wanted to say how thankful I am to be alive.

The car again

Ok, so now that I have been driving the car for two days, I just have to repeat how thankful I am we have a new car. Not just because it gives us two cars, but also because I LOVE driving it. Our other car is a big SUV (Ford Expedition) and while I have gotten used to driving it, I feel SOOOOOOO much more comfortable driving a smaller car. I am very happy with it.

It looks like we will be in cubicles by the end of the year, which made me realize how thankful I am for my office. I have taken for granted the fact that I have been in an office all my carreer (since college).

I mentioned on my If I were President blog that I was disappointed that Amrican Idol and LOST were overlapping in time. Well,two of our friends taped the shows for us, so now we will be able to see them both in their entirety.

Thankful for Insurance

I am very thankful for Medical Insurance. This morning I went to get blood work done, and I didn't have my insurance card with me, so I have to go back some other morning. It was a bit frustrating, but on my way back I realized how thankful I am to have insurance.

I have diabetes, and I don't know how I would afford to cover all my medical expenses without insurance. I am very, very, very thankful for the medical insurance that my company provides me with.

Thankful the Winter Olympics are Over

As much as I enjoyed the Winter Olympics and as much money as my wife made from her blog on the Winter Olympics, I am still very thankful that the Winter Olympics are over. It was a lot of work for my wife to constantly write about the Olympics. But it was definitely worth while.

Anyway, I am thankful the Winter Olympics are over. Congratulations to all of the athletes. It was fun watching all of you try your best.

Taylor Hicks

I have really enjoyed watching Taylor Hicks sing in the American Idol auditions leading up to the top 24. Last night, he sang the Elton John song "Levon" and he was awesome! I love watching him perform. You can just tell he LOVES music. To top it off, when I was a kid I owned an Elton John album with the song Levon on it and it was one of my favorites at the time. So hearing him sing a song I liked made it that much better.

I am very thankful for Taylor Hicks. I really look forward to hearing him sing every week.

Thankful for TV

Thankful for Love Monkey

There is a new show on CBS called "Love Monkey". It is really cool. It may be my second favorite show on tv right now. It's great because it has a little bit of everything in it (relationships with friends, business dealings, comedy, drama, etc.). It's a fun show to watch.

Thankful for Numbers

I am thankful for the television show called Numb3rs (aka. Numbers). Numb3rs is a really cool show. I love the way they use math to solve mysteries. It is a very unique show. Having a minor in Math makes me appreciate the show all that much more.

The episodes that contain less violence we let our 12 year old watch and he really likes the show as well.

I am very thankful for the show Numbers.
