Thankful for my Father

With Father's day coming tomorrow, I just wanted to write about how thankful I am for my Father. He has been a good Dad all these years. He has always tried to take care of me and my brother. He took good care of us as children and worked really hard to support us. He has been a very good Dad.

I just wanted to say that I am very thankful for my Dad, Brian Alan Manty.

Thankful for eBooks

I really like how convenient ebooks are. I have some slight vision problems and I have trouble reading a lot of books because the words are too small. The great thing about ebooks is that you can change the size of the words. Ebooks are also cool, because they don't take up any space on your bookshelf. One last thing that is cool about ebooks is that anyone can make them. I am very thankful for ebooks.

Thankful my house has never burned down

My mother-in-law watched a neighbor's house burn to the ground last night, as fire fighters tried to stop it.

This happened during the power outage last night. There were somewhere around 12 house fires in the area last night, probably due to the power outage. Normally there are about 12 house fires in a month in the area, 12 in a night is pretty bad.

Anyway, I am very, very, very thankful that I have never had my house burn down.

Thankful for Electricity

Last night the power went off in 7 counties near us. We were spared the power outage, but my mother-in-law, and my brother-in-laws family were out of power for a while. I am thankful that we had power last night, and I am thankful in general for the electricity we usually do have and take for granted. It would be hard to go back to a world without electricity. I am very thankful for electricity and the many ways we can use it.

Thankful for trip to Palm Beach

I am thankful everything went so well on our trip over the weekend to Palm Beach for my friend John Navoroli's wedding. We had a good time. Jill and I took our youngest child (11 weeks) and he did great on both flights. In fact, just about everyone on both flights commented on how good he was. He is a really good traveler for being a baby. I am very thankful that John Victor is such a good traveler.
